How you are Built will determine How you Swing
To understand how you will swing and play your best we must determine how you are put together. There are a certain things that will influence what you can and can’t do well mechanically when trying to hit a golf ball.
- Wingspan vs Height
- Forearm Length to Upper Arm Length
- Trail Arm Function
- Trail Shoulder External Rotational Ability
- Post or Leg Dominance
- And any impingements, injuries, or physical limitations
This list will be very familiar to anyone who knows Mike Adams and is integral to the BioSwing Dynamics framework.
Modeling your golf swing after a player that does not share your physical characteristics can result in many lost hours of practice. Taking advice that does not fit into your blueprint will result in the same. I know this from experience, for years I modeled a neutral trail hand grip position because it was “the grip”. Much to my caddie’s dismay it would very often send the ball well left of my target under pressure.
Let’s take the time to find out how you will swing best and get you on your way to playing better golf.
